My beloved JRT, Ollie, died not too long ago...he got out of the house and was hit by a car. It was a horrible accident. Ollie used to drape himself like a living fur stole on my shoulders while I typed or sewed. He was my constant companion when I was too depressed after Tyler (our son) died unexpectedly. He curled up next to me in bed for nearly two years, eye to eye, and licked away my tears or nuzzled my neck in sympathy. That dog loved me through and through but we never could tame his urge to run and run as fast as he could. He was an escape artist. He hated wheels, bikes, lawn mowers, vacuums, and other people. He was my "mistreated, misunderstood" rescue dog. I adored him and I miss him greatly.
